With autumn coats growing in, Dr. Hortense Pounce warns that hairball season is back and in force. Last week, Hollow Oak vets reported a 28 percent increase in dramatic coughing, most of it at 4 a.m. and next to a pair of slippers.
‘The best remedy is brushing,’ says Dr. Pounce, ‘but the second best is carpet cleaner.’ Owners are urged to remain calm, stay barefoot only in daylight and check the floor before every step.
