As children head back to school this week, parents across Hollow Oak are reporting an alarming trend: cats sleeping in backpacks. Our team visited 20 houses and found 17 bags occupied, three of them while in motion.
‘I zipped it shut,’ said one father, ‘and found a face at lunch.’ School officials remind families that homework ‘is not a cushion’ and that attendance policies do not recognise ‘heavy slumber.’ We recommend a second bag, a decoy cushion and a firm but loving conversation. Cats are asked to sit in the lobby and wait.
